As for batteries, Ford’s battery patents related to battery modules grew by 65% from the first to the second quarter in 2015. This was a 438% year over year increase!
Based on categorized patent data in the Advanced Battery & Capacitor PatentEdge, IP Checkups determined that Ford Motors is a leader when it comes to innovations related to batteries “state of charge”, it had 27 new U.S. patent applications publish in Q2 2015.
